Local construction company Willmott Dixon will be hosting an ‘Open Doors’ weekend enabling people to look behind the scenes at a major construction site.  The aim is to promote careers within the industry and give people an insight to what goes on.
They will be opening their doors on the 6th and 7th of March - under 16s will need an adult to accompany them and you need to let them know in advance.

An idea that blossomed last year when Elev8Careers met with app makers Scramboo was turned into a brilliant event by Art at Work. Through their fantastic work Year 9 students at BACA and PACA were able to meet with many creative and digital organisations across the city. 
Over 200 students spent the day tracking down creative organisations, learning about our city and meeting with people who do inspiring work in dance, art, music, digital, design and other creative areas. It was a hugely inspiring day; as a BACA student told me 'I got to meet people I never normally would and find out about jobs I had no idea existed!'
